Charles Krauthammer: Palin Could Win The Republican Nomination, She Is Smart

Last night the special report online panel discussed the potential of Governor Palin entering the race and if so how she could get win the nomination.

Bret Baier said that he has reliable sources that tell him that Palin will run. He says it’s not just rumors it’s solid information. Krauthammer describes the circumstances he thinks that Governor Palin may enter the race and lays out a path on how Governor Palin can win the nomination.

Bret Baier: I’m hearing more and more buzz that she actually may get into this race. That she actually may get in. I don’t think it’s just rumor it think it’s actually possibly going to happen… …I’m just hearing from different sources that she’s really considering it… … I’ve talked to money people who say she can flip a switch and be there, WOW!

Stephen Hayes: I thought all along that everything she’s said and everything she’s done has pointed to a possible candidacy.

Juan Williams: Governor Palin’s stature in the country is much higher in terms of profile than Michele Bachmann and especially among Tea Party Republicans. I think that even though Michele Bachmann is the chair of the Tea Party Caucus, I would say Sarah Palin is the queen of the Tea Party.

Charles Krauthammer: If you add up the Palin support and the Bachmann support in the polls, it’s in the mid 20’s, that’s equal to Romney. Assuming one of them is left and it could be Palin then you are really in a position, very strong position for the nomination.

Krauthammer finally concedes: I think she [Palin] is smart.

Watch the video for full discussion.

As a side note: Baier let it slip that they were told [by Fox] that she’s not running. Sort of vindicates our source from back in June that Fox was deliberately trying to sabotage  Governor Palin.

She has been telling US since Wisconsin that she is most definitely running.  And every time she has made any comments since then…she has given those of US that actually LISTEN to her words…that she is running.  The “2012 starts here…starts now” and the “Mr President…GAME ON” were the words that told us to start organizing.  Then she mentioned something about a president having to have a “servant’s heart” and then a few weeks ago she mentioned that SHE had a “servant’s heart”.  If you take all the comments and Tweets and interviews and FB postssince Wisconsin…she has been telling us to hang in there and she IS running.  For legal reasons she HAS to wait until after the end of July to announce.  Patience…she IS running and she has been telling US that she is.

Sarah Palin is NOT a selfish person.  If she was not running…she would have told her loyal supporters a long time ago.  She would NOT let us organize and promote her if she was not running.

She will NOT RUN third party. NO WAY.  She could have done it when the tea party started and she, very smartly, guided them into the Republican party.  She understands PERFECTLY WELL that a third party=Obama’s second term.

As Jan says below, all these talking heads are just that, blowing off steam, but I did like seeing Charlie Krauthammer coming around. No derisive comments. I wonder if he saw “The Undefeated” and is getting impressed with her staying power. George Will may be next. It’s good that these guys are starting to take her seriously.

She did leave the possibility of a third party open on an interview recently with Hannity:
    http://spectator.org/blog/2011/06/04/palin-to-hannity-i-could-run-3#

I think this would be a last resort, but it is a possibility.  A RINO will not save our nation.

Krauthammer thinks Palin needs Bachmann to weaken before she gets in!   ROFL  If Palin gets in Bachmann is done overnight.  She is simply a weak substitute for Palin by the ones who think Palin won’t run.  Once Palin is in they will jump the Bachmann ship in a second.
